Drop-in Classes in Portland

Taught by Resident Teacher Heather Rocklin, each class includes two guided meditations and a talk on how to use Buddha's teachings to find inner peace and an opportunity to ask questions. Although each class is taught as part of a series, it is also self-contained, so newcomers are always welcome.

Kids Welcome on Sunday Mornings:  Dharma for Kids

Dharma for Kids

Kids' class is held at the same time as Prayers for World Peace (Sunday mornings, 10:30-noon), usually taught by senior student April Waters.

While parents enjoy meditation, kids explore spiritual themes. Activities include arts and crafts, story time, and spiritual topics. Parents are welcome to stay with their children or relax and enjoy the adult class inside the gompa.

In order for us to be able plan appropriately we ask that when bringing children to Dharma for Kids, that you please pre-register by 3:00 pm on Saturday. You can do this by emailing April (click here) or by phoning the center at 503 233 6747.

Sangha Potluck Social

On Sunday, May 30 from noon - 2:00pm (just after Prayers for World Peace), everyone is welcome to join us for a potluck lunch. This is an opportunity for the Mahasiddha community to get together and socialize. Please feel free to bring a friend, spouse, significant other. A sign-up sheet for bringing potluck items will be placed on the bulletin board in the hallway at the center.
